AGRICULTURE PERFORMANCE IN 2024
In 2024, the agriculture sector posted a contraction of 1.5 percent, a reversal from the 1.2 percent growth recorded in 2023. This fell below the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) growth target of 1.0 to 2.0 percent for the year. While poultry remained a strong driver, other major sub-sectors—particularly crops, livestock, and fisheries—acted as significant dampeners.
