China-Vietnam fruits trade: going strong

China imports from Vietnam is thriving. In 2016, it imported $383M of dragon fruit, $143M of longan, and $28M of lychee, $13M of bananas, and $32M of watermelons. There is a large volume of dried jackfruit imports but these are not well-recorded, as shown by the quantities of retail packages sold in Guangzhou and Nanning airports.
